Temperature Testing
MODTAC independent testing utilized commercially available tools to identify the measurable difference between suppressor temperature and the outer surface of the Suppressor Shield (Performance Capability) of the clamp-on version of the Suppressor Shield.

Fitment Guide
The Gauntlet is designed as a complete upper, but can also be ordered and installed onto mil spec upper receivers with the use of an Aero Precision M4E barrel nut adapter or barrel nut.
*All Gauntlets available with 4″, 4.75″, 5.5″, 6.25″, or 7″ Suppressor Shields.
- Standard Venting – The “standard” vent design is optomized to deliver maximum mirage reduction while enabling air flow from the below the suppressor, up and around the suppressor body to encourage natural cooling.
- CQB Venting – Our CQB vent design focuses less on mirage reduction and more on protecting the operator. By increasing the amount of hot air that can escape, the CQB vent design promotes faster cooling while still offering maxmimum burn protection.
