A securely mounted, rigid suppressor cover that eliminates mirage, reduces the chance of incidental contact burns on personnel and equipment, and allows your suppressor to cool naturally — prolonging the life of your suppressor and your gear.

The Shields are made from U.S.-sourced high-temperature carbon fiber. Couplers are lightweight aluminum and attach to your rail using stainless steel mounting tabs.

The Shields allow maximum airflow over the surfaces of your hot suppressor. As heat escapes the front of the Shield, cool air flows through the vents on the bottom. This leads to cooler cans and excellent mirage mitigation. Carbon fiber has an incredibly low thermal transfer rate — the tube can be 300°F, but that heat isn't transferred to your gear or skin.

Yes. Shields can be spray painted or have professional-grade Cerakote applied. If using Cerakote, we recommend C-Series Cerakote applied by a certified applicator.

MAX Series Shields are available in Cerakote Black or FDE. Standard and XL Series Shields come in Cerakote Clear (natural carbon fiber appearance). We do not offer custom colors at this time.

If your rail is not listed, we recommend the U-RAC XL as your best alternative.

No. If your rail is not on the M-RAC XL compatibility list, use the U-RAC instead. We cannot guarantee fitment on unlisted rails.

The U-RAC is designed for platforms with standard Picatinny rail height over bore. If your rail is not supported by the M-RAC XL, the U-RAC is likely your best option — but rail height over bore varies by platform. Contact us with your specific setup if you're unsure.

Use our Shield Selector tool. Measure from the end of your handguard to the point on the suppressor you want to cover.

Tip: Fully assemble your weapon system before measuring. If you're unsure, send us photos with a tape measure visible — camera lined up as close to the end of the suppressor as possible.

Standard Shields fit most common suppressor diameters up to 1.70" OD. If your suppressor's outer diameter exceeds 1.70", you need an XL Series Shield.

Check the suppressor reference table below or your manufacturer's specs for the OD. Contact us if you're unsure.

The table below covers the most frequently asked-about suppressors. If yours is not listed, check your manufacturer's specs — any suppressor with an OD greater than 1.70" requires an XL Series Shield.

The AR-15 and AR-10 U-RACs use different Rail Grabbers designed around the standard rail height over bore for each platform. They are not interchangeable. See the Height Over Bore section below for standard measurements, how to verify your platform, and details on AR-10 compatibility.

For the best setup, we offer the Shadow Eliminator Light Bar, available in Scout 2-hole and Pro Swivel mounting variations. It moves the light body forward 2.5" and outward to clear the Shield or suppressor, reduces shadow cast, frees up handguard space, and includes built-in cable management. It can also be used standalone without a Shield.

For U-RAC users, we also offer a Rail Extension for mounting lasers and other accessories.

Height over bore is the distance from the top of the Picatinny rail to the centerline of the barrel. This measurement determines how the U-RAC Rail Grabber aligns the Coupler and Shield to your suppressor. If the rail height doesn't match the U-RAC you've selected, the Shield will sit too high or too low relative to the suppressor.

Because AR-10 receiver profiles vary across manufacturers (DPMS Low, DPMS High, Armalite), our AR-10 Rail Grabber is designed around an averaged height over bore so it will work across all standard AR-10 variations.

The AR-15 U-RAC will not fit an AR-10, and vice versa.

You'll need a digital caliper or similar precision measuring tool.

1. With the barrel installed, place the caliper across the top flat of the Picatinny rail and measure straight down to the top of the barrel where it is exposed beyond the handguard.
2. Measure the diameter of the barrel at that same location.
3. Multiply the barrel diameter by 0.5, then add that value to the measurement in Step 1.

The result is your rail height over bore (top of rail to centerline of bore). Compare this to the reference table above to confirm which U-RAC is correct for your platform.

If your measurement doesn't match the standard for either platform, or you're running a non-standard receiver, contact us with your measurement before ordering.

Don't touch the Shield if your weapon has been fired recently or is warm. On average, the Shield runs approximately 60% cooler than the suppressor surface throughout the firing cycle — reducing the risk of incidental burns, but it is still hot.

No. The Shield does not contact the suppressor during normal use. Airflow between the Shield and suppressor actually helps cooling.
