M-LOK mounted Suppressor Shield ONLY for Geissele URGI/MK-16, Knights Armament URX-4 Rails, SIG-MCX Virtus, KRG enclosed forends, & DD Delta-5 Pro.
The M-RAC Suppressor Shield mounting system utilizes the two forward most M-LOK® slots on the 3 O’clock and 9 O’clock position of the forend to securely lock in the female coupler, which allows for a quick disconnect of the suppressor shield. This mounting system provides a rock-solid mount for the Suppressor Shield to be centered over the suppressor in a free-float configuration.
Compatibility: The M-RAC is compatible with Suppressors 1.00″ to 1.70″ in diameter.
The MODTAC M-RAC Suppressor Shield utilizes Low Profile or Picatinny rail mounting plate to customize your accessories and grip area.

The Suppressor Shield with Modular Rail Attach Coupler (M-RAC) are primarily designed for government contracts. M-RAC systems are compatible with ONLY certain MLOK forearms. These forearms currently include:
– SIG MCX – Virtus *NEW*
– Geissele MK16 and URGI
– Knights Armament Company URX-4 (SR-16 and SR-25)
– Daniel Defense R-III and Delta-5 Pro
– Kinetic Research Group Enclosed forend.
The MLOK mounting tabs are machined specifically for each of these rails, and are not cross compatible with other similar rails. while they may work on some other brands, we do not guarantee any fitment.

Temperature testing was conducted independently by SFARTAEC Instructors at Ft. Bragg, NC.
Equipment: US Army M4 / URGI (11.5″) 5.56mm NATO, Geissele Rail, Surefire SOCOM Suppressor, MODTAC M-RAC Suppressor Shield 2.0
Course of Fire was 10 rounds per minute for 9 minutes (3 mags) totaling 90 rounds, followed by monitoring of temperatures during cool down cycle.
MODTAC designed the Modular Rail Attach Coupler Suppressor Shield – (M-RAC) to provide a free-float suppressor cover solution for specific rifle forends, including the US Army Special Operations Command’s (SOCOM) Upper Receiver Group Improved (URGI), and Knights Armament URX-4. Please see the fitment guide for more specific model information.
Suppressor Shields with Rail Attach Coupler (RAC) is designed to be completely free floated over the barrel and suppressor. This accomplished two objectives. First, it reduces the amount of heat transferred from the rifle suppressor to the outer surface of the shield. Second, it is the most secure suppressor cover attachment on the market.
The current Suppressor Shield RAC is nearly 20% lighter than previous generations, while providing a greater clearance for suppressors, and stronger engaging threads on the coupler.
This design has been tested and reported on by agency after agency and the proven combination of an air gap, proper venting, and low thermal transfer materials results in up to 50% reduction in both max outer surface temperature and suppressor cool down time. The resulting lower temperatures will lengthen the life of your suppressor compared to the heat trapping found with traditional fabric style suppressor wraps.
The carbon fiber rigid outer hull is both impact and heat resistant, allowing for a drastic reduction in temperature for hot suppressors up to or exceeding 1000°F, while being able to take the abuse that weapons see on the battlefield.
The M-RAC is a great option for every day shooters to Tier 1 operators to prevent burns, mitigate mirage, and get the most out of your suppressor.
