The M-RAC 3.1 boasts a remarkable 20% reduction in weight compared to previous generations. Additionally, it offers increased clearance for suppressors and features stronger engaging threads on the coupler.
All M-RAC’s shipped after October 1st, 2023 will include the 3.1 variation which utilizes the industry standard screw spacing of 20mm, to allow compatibility with M-LOK accessories, such as Arisaka and Surefire light mounts. This means, you’ll still be able to mount M-LOK accessories in these slots, and not waste any rail space.
Extensively tested and endorsed by multiple military units and federal agencies, this cutting-edge design combines an optimal air gap, efficient venting, and low thermal transfer materials for a staggering 60% reduction in both maximum outer surface temperature and suppressor cool-down time, significantly extending the lifespan of your suppressor compared to traditional fabric-style suppressor covers that trap heat inside your suppressor.

1. Ensure there is a 1/4″ gap between your handguard and suppressor.
Failure to have the proper gap, may cause binding on certain suppressor.
2. Measure from end of forearm to the end of the suppressor.
3. Select the closest part number to this length.
Example Measurement A = 5.9″

The Suppressor Shield with Modular Rail Attach Coupler (M-RAC) are primarily designed for government contracts. M-RAC systems are compatible with ONLY certain MLOK forearms (listed above)
The MLOK mounting tabs are machined specifically for each of these rails, and are not cross compatible with other similar rails. while they may work on some other brands, we do not guarantee any fitment.

What is a suppressor shield?
The materials and design of the MODTAC Suppressor Shields provide a solidly mounted, rigid shield that eliminates mirage, reduces the chance of incidental contact burns on personnel and equipment, as well as allows the suppressor to cool naturally, prolonging the life of your suppressor and your gear.
Are Suppressor Shields different than suppressor wraps?
Yes, Suppressor Shields are a rail mounted, rigid, and free floating design which does not retain heat inside of the suppressor, unlike a suppressor wrap.

Temperature testing was conducted independently by SFARTAEC Instructors at Ft. Bragg, NC. Equipment: US Army M4 / URGI (11.5″) 5.56mm NATO, Geissele Rail, Surefire SOCOM Suppressor, MODTAC M-RAC Suppressor Shield 2.0
Course of Fire was 10 rounds per minute for 9 minutes (3 mags) totaling 90 rounds, followed by monitoring of temperatures during cool down cycle.
